veganism
hello
can anyone please help us
the slaughterhouse doors are opening
please hurry
*************
unless you are vegan,
you “will” be contributing to the death, suffering and exploitation of those in the animal realm
think on this my friends
then take action
*****
by combining dharma practice with a vegan lifestyle
you convert compassion from just a word or concept, to meaningful action
do not procrastinate
animals are suffering and dying as you read this!
*****
veganism is buddha nature in action
“oh my dharma friends
have sympathy for al those in the animal realm
refrain from contributing to their suffering
work towards their liberation
free them from pain”
*****
veganism does save lives
“how many more lives would be taken
how much more suffering there would be
how much more exploitation there would be
oh my dharma practitioners
just think how many more animals, birds, fish, insects would suffer
if we were not practicing a vegan lifestyle”
*****
be a dharma warrior, a true bodhisattva
“what use all the chanting
what use all the statues
what use all the candles
what use all the incense
what use all the talk
if you are not practicing non violence
oh my friend
ask yourself
are all your pujas just for show
*****
sadhu’s daily reflection for animals
“ah
i meditate on all the animals in the universe
the tiniest insect to the largest mammal
those alive now
those to be born
those that have passed away
may they all be free from suffering
may they all find peace”
*****
to all my friends in the animal realm
*****
emaho
“Ah, all my dear friends in the animal realm
every day i hear your cries, every day i feel your pain,
please do not be angry or resentful,
let thoughts of your treatment at the hands of humans go,
remain free from attachment or aversion.
if you can remain calm and still
when you leave this realm,
you will not return to this world of pain,
but will dwell in the buddha mind
when you arrive,
wait for me, for i will join you soon”

pet bereavement
the art of letting go
*
“passing from this life to the next
the cat feels great sadness at leaving its human companion
the human feels equal sadness at the passing of his purring friend
what joy they both experience when the reality dawns on them
they were never apart in this life
they will never be apart in death
they were always one, never two
they are both pure consciousness
no beginning, no end
no life, no death”
lama shri sadhu dharmavira: 8-5-18
